We are here! And so far, I am loving it. I lost my computer, the moving guys haven't called giving us an ETA on the arrival of or stuff, but I don't think anything could steel the happiness I feel over getting to live here. When we got here last night, I was wishing for a thicker sweatshirt and jeans. I am just in awe over this. It is June and beautiful out! Thank you God for Colorado!
The kids are loving our house here. It is 2 story and has a walkout basement. they just ran circle through the house for a full thirty minutes last night. I couldn't believe how excited they were and are. I will try to post some pictures soon...but being I don't have a computer at home right now, it may be awhile. Thank you to all of you for the prayers and emails. And THANK YOU to Mike and Raena for helping us clean out the house Monday!!!! You two are such great friends. we will be missing you a lot.

- Why and when I started running is a bit of a tale. Basically, I ran my first race at the age of 6. I beat a lot of 5th graders in the mile at a summer track meet. Fast forward about 6 years. At this point in my life, I was over weight and in horrible shape. My doctor told me that if I wanted any chance of controlling my asthma, I needed to get in better shape. So I started walking...and then running. That was about 15 years ago. It is sorta funny that I considered myself a "fitness runner" until after winning my first ultra. Now I run because it is a passion. I love pushing myself to the limit and seeing if I can push my limits farther. I love being fit. And I LOVE being out doors on the trails. I have run more races then I can count. But only 6 marathons and 3 ultras. The PR I am most proud of is my 18:05 5k last summer. I beat everyone at that race. Even the guys. In 2007, I placed 3erd overall at the SA marathon and 1st in Bexar county the year before that. But I am not proud of those times. Both of those races were on off days for me. The only advise I have is never give up. It is amazing what our bodies can accomplish if we train them properly and give them time.
